The Bonafides of Somerset Hills
  History

The Bonafides of Somerset Hills, founded in 1968 as an outgrowth of the Welcome Wagon Newcomers Club, is a diverse group of women who take an active interest in the civic and social welfare of the Somerset Hills community.

Over the years, The Bonafides of Somerset Hills has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars through various fund-raising events and contributed it back to local community charities focusing on adults and children with special needs, senior citizens, emergency medical services and fire protection, Hemophilia, and a variety of community projects.
The Bonafides of Somerset Hills has garnered much respect throughout the community and has received County, State and National recognition for supporting more than 59 causes with its philanthropic contributions and volunteerism.

In addition to financial contributions made to local charities, members also provide monthly donations of food to the Food Bank Network of Somerset County, Holiday dinners, gifts, and baskets for needy families, and have knitted and donated thousands of “chemo hats” for cancer patients at Somerset Medical Center.

The Bonafides conducts monthly meetings followed by a lunch social in addition to the fundraising events held annually.  Past fundraising events have included: house tours, fashion shows, tricky trays, and many others.
